June Foray turned 95 on September 18, 2012! Here’s a few photos from her party that was thrown a couple of days prior to her birthday.

Lucille Bliss (born March 31, 1916) is an American actress and voice artist. A New York City native, she has appeared in films and on television shows, including The Smurfs as Smurfette, Nickelodeon’s Invader ZIM (Ms. Bitters) and Walt Disney’s Cinderella (Anastasia Tremaine). She voiced the starring character of the very first made-for-television cartoon, Crusader Rabbit.

09/18/2010: Happy Birthday, June Foray!
Without argument, June Foray is my all-time favorite female voice actor. When I was small, I loved Rocky the flying squirrel so much, I want to meet “him.” Yes, I believed in talking squirrels.
Here’s a brief rundown of some of the amazing work this vocally gifted lady has done over the years. For Walt Disney, June played Lucifer the Cat in the feature film Cinderella; she did a variety of voices in Walter Lantz‘s Woody Woodpecker cartoons; for Warner Bros. June voices Granny, owner of Tweety and Sylvester (whom she has played, on and off, since 1943), and a series of witches including Witch Hazel for Chuck Jones. She appeared on the Smurfs (as Jokey Smurf and Mother Nature), George of the Jungle, and How the Grinch Stole Christmas as Cindy Lou Who; she was the voice of the original “Chatty Cathy” doll (and she was the voice of the “Talky Tina” doll in The Twilight Zone episode, “The Living Doll”), and is a voice on the Disney attraction “The Pirates of the Caribbean” as the wife of the mayor, who is the man being dunked in the well (“Don’t tell him, Carlos!”). She is best-known for her stint with Jay Ward Productions, performing almost all the female roles (and the occasional male) on The Bullwinkle Show (Rocky and His Friends), Dudley Do-Right, and Fractured Fairy Tales. She also provided voices in Fractured Flickers (hosted by Hans Conried). June can barely venture anywhere without someone asking her to speak a line or two as Rocky, Natasha Fatale or Nell Fenwick.
I love you, June Foray! Happy Birthday to you… and many more!
